Dry Stout

Description:

Smooth Dry Stout that rivals that of he store bought Variety, make sure you save 2 bottles from each batch to sour for the next batch. This will give it the sour hint that Guiness has.

Ingredients:

  • 6.6 lbs Dark Malt Extract
  • .60 lbs Roasted Barley
  • .40 lbs Flaked Barley
  • .25lb Black Patent
  • 1 oz Northern Brewer Hops (bittering)
  • Wyeast 1084 Irish Yeast
  • Irish Moss
  • Gypsum

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 7 days
Secondary Ferment: 10 Days

Procedure:

Steep grains for 30 minutes at 155

Add Extract and hops at Boil

Boil 60 minutes then cool, sparge, and pitch yeast.
