American Pale Ale


Fruity,light, aromatic and spicy.
Great for Australians and therefore they'e tourists.
Creamy and slightly course.
Malty and hoppy.
The perfect fusion of beer
This beer is in a 5 gallon (22.5 litres) carbouy and weights and measures are in "impereial". I used Joe White Malts.


  • Mash
  • Pale Malt 3.5 kg
  • Munich Malt 340g
  • Adjuncts
  • Roasted Wheat Malt 100g
  • Dark Crysal Malt 30g
  • Chocolate Malt 20g
  • Yeast
  • British Ale Liquid Yeast
  • Roalled Oats 85g
  • Hops
  • Australian Pride of Ringwood 16g 1 Hr
  • Willamette (N.Z) 24g 1 Hr; 10g 5 mins.
  • Cascade 8g 20 mins

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 8 days (southern hemisphere)
Secondary Ferment: 3 days (see above)

Infusion Mash for 2 hours (66 degreees celsius)
Boil hops i n small beer (2cnd sparging) and scoop after time.
Cool and add yeast. Keep at 20 degrees celsius.
Bottle with standard Australian prime. ! teaspon per 375ml.
