Beer Style: Robust Porter  (12B)
Recipe Type: all-grain
Yield: 5 US gallons

Robust Porter
Beer Color

Dark, medium bodied with brown head. Initial taste chocolate and toffee melding into oak and bourbon notes. Mild residual bitterness provides good balance. Slight burn. Lighter in body than expected which may be due in part to addition of corn sugar. Very drinkable despite 7.1% ABV. Nice lacing. Next batch may increase bourbon addition (to 12-14 oz) and leave out corn sugar, increasing base malt.
