Mash at 66 C or 151 F. This is Dr Smurto's favourite version. This beer is one of the most widely home-brewed beers in Australia, extremely popular to a wide range of palates and a robust recipe meaning that it can be varied in many ways with little risk. Source: Mark Smith

  • 2 lbs 1.5 oz - Munich Malt (9.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 2 lbs 1.5 oz - Wheat Malt, Ger (2.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 10.6 oz - Caramunich Malt (56.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 0.7 oz - Amarillo Gold [8.5%] - Boil 60 min (Hops)
  • 0.9 oz - Amarillo Gold [8.5%] - Boil 20 min (Hops)
  • 0.25 - Whirlfloc Tablet (Boil 15 min) (Misc)
  • 0.9 oz - Amarillo Gold [8.5%] - Boil 0 min (Hops)
  • 1 pkgs - Safale American (DCL/Fermentis #US-05) (Yeast)
