This turned out to be one of my best. It has a nice smoky flavor, fairly strong but for me not overpowering.

Ingredients:

  • 5 lbs 12.0 oz - Pale Malt, Maris Otter (3.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 1 lbs - Crystal 75, 2-Row, (Great Western) (75.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 1 lbs - Oak Smoked Wheat Malt (2.1 SRM) (Grain)
  • 12.0 oz - Brown Malt (Simpsons) (150.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 5.3 oz - Oats, Golden Naked (Simpsons) (10.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 4.0 oz - Chocolate Malt (350.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 1.6 oz - Peat Smoked Malt (2.8 SRM) (Grain)
  • 0.6 oz - Northern Brewer [8.5%] - Boil 60 min (Hops)
  • 1.00 - Wort Chiller (Boil 15 min) (Misc)
  • 0.26 tsp - Super Moss (Boil 10 min) (Misc)
  • 0.53 tsp - Wyeast Beer Nutrient Blend (Boil 10 min) (Misc)
  • 1 pkgs - Burton Ale (White Labs #WLP023) (Yeast)
