Hopped up scotch malt. Very balanced. A very creamy mouthfeel with hints of peat.

  • 10.50 gal - Salt Lake City, UT (Water)
  • 14 lbs - Pale Malt, Maris Otter (3.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 1 lbs 4.0 oz - Caramel/Crystal Malt - 80L (80.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 8.0 oz - Caramunich Malt (56.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 4.0 oz - Chocolate Malt (450.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 5 lbs - Light Dry Extract (8.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 2.0 oz - Fuggles [4.5%] - Boil 60 min (Hops)
  • 0.8 oz - Challenger [7.5%] - Boil 30 min (Hops)
  • 1 pkgs - Edinburgh Ale (White Labs #WLP028) (Yeast)
  • 1.60 tsp - Yeast Nutrient (Primary 3 days) (Misc)

This won 1st place at a local People's Choice event. I eliminated the Peated Malt from my original and used Chocolate Malt as a subtle replacement.
