Description:

Plain wort was very nice. Apricot puree should add 12 points according to program and I added that to the OG. I will add 4 oz. honey to apricots when boiling and add that with the three day addition. Bottled on 4-30-12 after allowing to ferment at 75F to finish, and final gravity was an amazing 1.005! That super yeast must like to eat. Smelled very good with much apricot aroma. It is a good brew. Very aromatic and tastes of apricots a lot. Most popular beer with my friends I have ever brewed, and quite simple, Cheers!

  • 6 lbs - Wheat Liquid Extract (8.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 0.5 oz - Centennial [10.0%] - Boil 30 min (Hops)
  • 0.5 oz - Cascade [5.5%] - Boil 15 min (Hops)
  • 1 pkgs - Safale American (DCL/Fermentis #US-05) (Yeast)
  • 0.50 tsp - Amylase Enzyme (Primary 3 days) (Misc)
  • 3.00 - Apricots, dried (Primary 0 min) (Misc)
  • 6.0 oz - Honey (1.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 4.0 oz - Milk Sugar (Lactose) (0.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 1.00 oz - Apricot Extract (Bottling 5 min) (Misc)
