Description:

Good beer. Slight carmel flavor with a mild roastiness. Not quite as red as I hoped, and a little cloudy, but tastes delicious. Take the Melanoiden malt down to 8oz. and drop the Victory Malt. Mash at 153 deg. Do again.

  • 10 lbs - Pale Malt, Maris Otter (3.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 10.0 oz - Melanoidin (Weyermann) (30.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 6.0 oz - Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (60.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 6.0 oz - Caramel/Crystal Malt - 80L (80.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 4.0 oz - Roasted Barley (300.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 4.0 oz - Victory Malt (25.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 0.5 oz - Cascade [7.0%] - Boil 60 min (Hops)
  • 0.5 oz - Fuggles [5.7%] - Boil 60 min (Hops)
  • 0.5 oz - Fuggles [5.7%] - Boil 20 min (Hops)
  • 0.2 oz - Cascade [7.0%] - Boil 20 min (Hops)
  • 1 pkgs - Irish Ale Yeast (White Labs #WLP004) (Yeast)
