Description:

This is an excellent beer. Great raspberry flavor, modest sweetness, tart flavor. Far too carbonated though! Add another pound of berries and bump up the lactose to 1.5 pds. Use a 1pd. of acid malt to give tartness. Use a balance of pale malt and pilsner. Do again but use only a cup of corn sugar.

  • 5 lbs - Pilsner (2 Row) Bel (2.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 3 lbs - Wheat Malt, Bel (2.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 8.0 oz - Caramel/Crystal Malt - 20L (20.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 1 lbs 4.0 oz - Milk Sugar (Lactose) (0.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 0.4 oz - Saaz [6.3%] - Boil 60 min (Hops)
  • 1 pkgs - Belgian Lambic Blend (Wyeast Labs #3278) (Yeast)
  • 5.00 lbs - Raspberry (Secondary 2 weeks) (Misc)
  • 4.00 oz - Raspberry Extract (Bottling 5 min) (Misc)
