This recipe was derived from a Dave Miller recipe.

The extract brewer can substitute some good extract for the base malt, but ought to attempt a partial mash given the grain bill.


  • 6 pounds, pilsner malt
  • 3 pounds, Munich malt
  • 3/4 pound, cara-pils malt
  • 1/4 pound, 40L crystal malt
  • 1/4 ounce, black malt (for color)
  • 6--7 AAUs, Hallertauer, Tettnanger, Perle, or Mt. Hood hops
