Description:

This turned out very well and I took it as evidence that the full boil and fresh liquid extract are the way to go when I don't have the time to go all grain. In addition to the lesson learned this was a fun beer to drink.

Ingredients:

  • 8.0 oz - Caramel/Crystal Malt -120L (120.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 15 lbs - Pale Liquid Extract (8.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 1.5 oz - Simcoe [12.2%] - Boil 60 min (Hops)
  • 0.5 oz - Simcoe [12.2%] - Boil 30 min (Hops)
  • 0.55 tsp - Irish Moss (Boil 10 min) (Misc)
  • 0.5 oz - Simcoe [12.2%] - Boil 10 min (Hops)
  • 1.5 oz - Fuggles [5.1%] - Steep 0 min (Hops)
  • 1.5 oz - Simcoe [12.2%] - Steep 0 min (Hops)
  • 2 pkgs - Safale American (DCL/Fermentis #US-05) (Yeast)
