It was very good but a little too sweet, I cut back the Cane Sugar on this updated recipe. It was served at the SoCal Homebrewers Festival 2012 & well received!

Ingredients:

  • 9 lbs - Pilsner (2 Row) Bel (1.6 SRM) (Grain)
  • 1 lbs - Caramel/Crystal Malt - 10L (10.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 8.0 oz - Aromatic Malt (19.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 1 lbs - Candi Sugar, Clear (0.5 SRM) (Grain)
  • 1.2 oz - Styrian Goldings [3.8%] - Boil 90 min (Hops)
  • 1 lbs 4.0 oz - Cane (Beet) Sugar [Boil for 90 min] (0.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 0.5 oz - Styrian Goldings [3.8%] - Boil 30 min (Hops)
  • 0.50 tsp - Irish Moss (Boil 15 min) (Misc)
  • 1.2 oz - Saaz [4.9%] - Boil 15 min (Hops)
  • 2 pkgs - Belgian Abbey II (Wyeast Labs #1762) (Yeast)
