Beer Style: American Wheat or Rye Beer  (6D)
Recipe Type: extract
Yield: 5 US gallons

American Wheat or Rye Beer
Beer Color

Realy, good honey wheat. The honey was apparent without being overpowering. It was way too easy to drink for the amount of alcohol it contained. Maybe a little sweet - but that seems to be what bridged the gap for the non-beer drinkers.

  • 1.0 oz - Tettnang [4.5%] - Steep 3 min (Hops)
  • 1 pkgs - American Wheat Ale (Wyeast Labs #1010) (Yeast)

Even though this is a "simple" recipe, it always pleases. From beer "connoisseurs" to "non-beer" drinkers, all have said that they really liked this beer. Because of this, I try to brew this a couple to a few times a year and end up giving a lot of it away.
