Way too much raspberry aroma. Flavor was a bit less, but seemed too much. Suspect that honey brought out the aroma.

Ingredients:

  • 5.00 gal - Denver, Colorado (Water)
  • 1 lbs - Caramel/Crystal Malt - 10L (10.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 6 lbs - Wheat Liquid Extract (8.0 SRM) (Grain)
  • 1.0 oz - Cascade [5.5%] - Boil 60 min (Hops)
  • 1.00 cup - Honey, Schmidt Farms (Boil 2 min) (Misc)
  • 1 pkgs - Hefeweizen Ale (White Labs #WLP300) (Yeast)
  • 4.00 oz - Raspberry Extract (Bottling 5 min) (Misc)

Not a bad start, but WAAYYY too much raspberry. Literally made the basement smell like a raspberry freshener whenever I pulled the keg tap to fill a glass. The ladies seemed to like it, but way to fruity for me.
