American Pale Ale

Description:

A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt.

Ingredients:

  • 8 lb. British pale
  • 2 lb. American Munich
  • .5 lb. American crystal 20L
  • .5 lb. American crystal 40L
  • 25 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 20 min.)
  • 1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 10 min.)
  • 1.25 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 10 min.)
  • 1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 5 min.)
  • .5 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 5 min.)

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: A few days, until fermenting activity
Secondary Ferment: 2 weeks
