American IPA

Description:

American Pale Ale made from rice syrup solids and sorghum syrup.

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs Rice Syrup Solids (prior to boil)
  • 3 lbs 4.8 oz Sorghum Syrup (prior to boil)
  • 1 lb Belgian Candi Syrup D1 (prior to boil)
  • 0.75 oz Palisade Hops (60 min)
  • 0.50 oz Cascade Hops (30 min)
  • 0.50 oz Northern Brewer Hops (30 min)
  • 0.50 oz Cascade Hops (20 min)
  • 0.25 oz Northern Brewer Hops (20 min)
  • 1/2 Whirlfloc Tablet (15 min)
  • 0.50 oz Hallertauer Mittelfrueh Hops (15 min)
  • 1 tsp Yeast Nutrient (15 min)
  • 8 oz Malto-Dextrine (5 min)
  • 1 pkg Safale US-05 Yeast

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 7 days at 68 degrees
Secondary Ferment: 7 days at 68 degrees

Procedure:

Bring wort to boil, and primary fermentable sugars, return to boil and achieve hot break.

Add hops and other ingredients according to schedule.

Chill wort until appropriate temperature to pitch yeast.
