Brown Porter

Description:

All grain porter made from buckwheat

Ingredients:

  • 14 lbs Malted Buckwheat (mash/sparge)
  • 2 lbs Toasted Red Buckwheat 40-60L (mash/sparge)
  • 2 lbs Toasted Black Buckwheat 500L (mash/sparge)
  • 1 oz Kent Goldings Hops (60 min)
  • 1 oz Kent Goldings Hops (5 min)
  • 1 pkg Safale S-04 Dry Yeast

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 21 days at 68 - 70 degrees

Procedure:

Mash/sparge buckwheat.

Achieve hot break.

Add hops according to schedule.

Chill wort until appropriate temperature to pitch yeast.
