American Pale Ale

Description:

Pale ale made with sweet orange peel and coriander

Ingredients:

  • 6 lbs White Sorghum Syrup (prior to boil)
  • 1.33 lbs Brown Rice Syrup (prior to boil)
  • 1.5 oz Cascade Hops (60 min)
  • 2 oz Sweet Orange Peel (10 min)
  • 1 oz Coriander Seed (5 min)
  • 8 oz Malto Dextrine (5 min)
  • 1.5 oz Cascade Hops (2 min)
  • 1 pkg S-04 Yeast
  • Dry Hopping:
  • 1 oz Cascade Hops (secondary fermentation)

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 7 days at 68 degrees
Secondary Ferment: 7 days at 68 degrees

Procedure:

Bring water to boil, and primary fermentable sugars, return to boil and achieve hot break.

Add hops and other ingredients according to schedule.

Chill wort until appropriate temperature to pitch yeast.

Dry hop after racking to secondary.
