American Pale Ale

Description:

Pale ale made from sorghum, Lyle's Golden Syrup and Williamette hops

Ingredients:

  • 6 lbs Sorghum Syrup (prior to boil)
  • 2 lbs Lyle's Golden Syrup (prior to boil)
  • 1.5 oz Williamette (60 min
  • 2 oz Williamette (15 min)
  • 0.28 tsp Irish Moss (10 min)
  • 0.50 lb Malto-Dextrine (5 min)
  • 2 oz Williamette (flameout)
  • 1 pkg Safale American Ale (DCL Yeast #S-05)

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 14 days at 68 degrees

Procedure:

Bring waterto boil, and primary fermentable sugars, return to boil and achieve hot break.

Add hops, finings and other ingredients according to schedule.

Chill wort until appropriate temperature to pitch yeast.
