Description:

APA made with no sorghum syrup

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz Crushed GF Oats (steep at 160 degrees for 45 min)
  • 0.38 oz Centennial Hops (steep at 160 degrees for 30 min)
  • 3 lbs 3 oz Rice Syrup (prior to boil - 30 min boil)
  • 0.50 tsp Yeast Nutrient (10 min)
  • 0.38 oz Centennial Hops (7 min)
  • 4 oz Honey (flameout)
  • 1 pkg SafBrew Ale S-33 Yeast

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 7 days at 60 degrees

Final Gravity: 1.020

Procedure:

Steep oats and first addition of hops prior to boil.

Bring wort to boil, and primary fermentable sugars, return to boil and achieve hot break.

Add hops, remaining fermentable sugars and other ingredients according to schedule.

Chill wort until appropriate temperature to pitch yeast.

Brewing notes: Batch Size; 2.4 Gallons; 2.73 Gallon Boil
Carbonated with 2.25 oz of corn sugar
