Lite American Lager

Description:

Fruity, refreshing and easy drinking

Ingredients:

  • 4.2kg Golden Promise
  • 0.3kg Carapils
  • Whirlfloc
  • Hops as per instructions
  • 1 packet Yeast S-23

Additional Instructions

Boil: 75 Minutes
Primary Ferment: 14 days

Beer Profile

Original Gravity: 1036
Final Gravity: 1006
Alcohol by Vol: 4.5%
Bitterness IBU: 24
Recipe Type: all-grain
Yield: 5.00 IMP Gallons

Procedure:

- Mash 66C 60 min
- Boil 75 min
- 15 min to go add Whirlfloc tablet

- 10 min to go add :-
10g EKG (AA5.0)
10g Motueka (AA7.2)
10g Centennial (AA10.5)
10g Willamette (AA4.5)

- Flame out, cool to 80C and add for 20 min :-
15g Fortnight (13.9AA)
9g Citra (12.7AA)
20g Chinook (11.6AA)
10g Ekuanot (16AA)

Chill for fermenter or cube for later

Ferment for 10 days @ 14C then dry hop for 4 days (max) :-
16g Ella
14g Mosaic
20g Citra
25g Ekuanot
25g Galaxy

14 days should be ready to bottle or keg

This recipe is useless to me as it has all imperial weights.

Should be 5 Imperial Gallons not US gallons (ie 23 litres)
