Description:

A true Robust Porter, as dark as brown/amber can go until it turns black. Full bodied beer with great head retention. Malty flavors with hints of chocolate and mild sweet caramel flavors.

Ingredients:

  • Grain bill:
  • 8 lb Pale millet malt
  • 1 lb Crystal rice malt
  • 2 lb French roast millet malt
  • 2 lb Vienna millet malt
  • 1 lb James' Brown rice malt
  • 1 lb Gas Hog rice malt
  • 2 lb Rice hulls
  • 1 tsp Amylase Enzyme (AMG-300L recommended)
  • Boil:
  • 0.5 oz Northern Brewer hops (60 minutes)
  • 0.5 oz Fuggle hops (30 minutes)
  • 0.5 oz Northern Brewer hops (30 minutes)
  • 0.5 oz Fuggle hops (15 minutes)
  • 1 Whirlfloc tablet (15 minutes)
  • 1 oz Cracked Coriander (flame out)
  • 1 oz Cacao Nibs (flame out)
  • Yeast: Mangrove Jack's M03 UK Dark Ale Yeast

Additional Instructions

Boil: 60 Minutes
Primary Ferment: 7 days at 68 - 70 F
Secondary Ferment: 7 - 14 days at 68 - 70 F
