Common Cider

Description:

Nice ruby red color with a hint of sour

Ingredients:

  • 8 Gallons cleaned Crab-apples
  • 1 Quart Mountain Ash Berries (harvest in late fall)
  • 5 lbs. light brown sugar
  • 1 lb. table sugar
  • Yeast: SAFALE US-05
  • 1/4 lb. priming sugar

Additional Instructions

Secondary Ferment: 3 days

Procedure:

Simmer apple to extract juice. Then boil juice with all of the sugar. Cool and add yeast. Ferment for 3 days then rack into secondary for an additional 5 days. Add 4 tsp of priming sugar to every 12oz. bottle
