Beer Style: American IPA  (14B)
Recipe Type: all-grain
Yield: 5 US gallons

American IPA


A malt forward, golden coloured IPA with some nice undertones. Not too hoppy, please tell me what you think


  • 12 lb Maris Otter Malt
  • 1 lb Amber Malt
  • 1 lb Biscuit Malt
  • 0.5 oz Magnum hops (90 min)
  • 2 oz Columbus hops (60 min)
  • 1 oz UK East Kent Golding hops (5 min)
  • 0.5 oz Centennial whole hops (dry hops)
  • 1 tsp Irish Moss
  • 7/8 cups Corn Sugar (priming)
  • 1.5 qt./1L starter california ale yeast

OK a fairly basic IPA recipe and pretty easy but it turned out good after the first brew. I chose to do a 90min mash and a 60 min boil. I look forward to making it again to tweek a few things and make it a 4. Then a 5.
