This is a smooth stout once it ages, The coffee settles down after about two months in the keg. If you are a hardcore coffee drinker you will enjoy this beer when it is green.

Mash at 150F (65.5C) for 60 minutes, then 158F (70C) for 30 minutes.
75 minute boil. Add hops 15 minutes into the boil. Stir in lactose after the boil when the mort has cooled to 86 degrees Fahrenheit ( 30 degrees Celsius), add yeast.
Ferment for 4 weeks in the primary, Rack it, and leave it around 40 Fahrenheit ( 7.2 Celsius ) for 2 to 3 weeks. keg it, force carbonate, the beer is ready to drink after 2. The coffee taste overpowers the other flavors when it is green. It really needs the time to settle down. If you are a really die hard coffee drinker you may enjoy this beers while it is green.
