Recipe Type: extract
Yield: 5 US gallons
Bold and Hoppy. Not for the meek.
Bring 3 gallons distilled water to 175 degrees F.
Drop in Carmel/Crystal Malt, turn off heat, and let steep for 40 minutes. Remove malt bag.
Bring wort to a boil.
0-90 mins add 3# Dry Extract
0-90 mins add Chinook
15-90 mins add Apollo
30-90 mins add Galena
45-90 mins add 2# Dry Extract and 3# Liquid Extract
60-90 mins add Perle
75-90 mins add Fuggle
Put wort on ice bath and chill to 65-70 degrees F.
Add 2 gallons distilled water to carboy.
Add chilled wort to carboy.
Wash hands and sanitize top and cap of yeast.
Pitch yeast.
Close up and ferment in dark cool place for two weeks.
