Beer Style: Weizen/Weissbier  (15A)

Yield: 5 US gallons

Weizen/Weissbier

Description:

A really nice sweet hefe hints of honey and banana after each taste low alcohol beer but after I drank this first bottle I was buzzing. I used tap water so use better water with a ph 5.5, a really decent beer considering it was my first partial mash.

Ingredients:

  • 3.5 light extract malt
  • 2 lb of crystal malt 30
  • 2 wheat malt
  • 1/2 cup of dextrose
  • 6 spoons of wildflower
  • 2 ounces of hallertau hops
  • Packet of safbrew a dry wheat beer yeast

Additional Instructions

Boil: 60 Minutes
Primary Ferment: 2 weeks

Original Gravity: 1080
Recipe Type: partial mash
Yield: 5.00 US Gallons

Procedure:

Add grain for 30 min at 165
Pour extract when boiling for a 60 min
Add the dextrose and hops after extract (1.5 oz of hops)
At 30 min add 4 spoons of any wildflower honey
At 55 min add the last 2 spoons of honey
At 57 min before the 60 min boiling process add last hops.(.5)
