Brown Ale with a bite. The color is very dark, 28srm or so, with 44 ibu. It is surprisingly light and refreshing. 5.5% ABV.
Original Gravity: 1.053
Final Gravity: 1.011

Yield: 5.00 US Gallons
Bring water up to 162, insert grain. After grain is nice an wet, let it sit for 1 hour at 158. Put in warm oven if needed to keep temp constant. Remove grain, bring batch up to to 6.5 gallons. Bring to boil. Kill flame and insert LME and Crystal hops. Add additional hops at stated times. Chill wort and pitch yeast. Primary ferm for one week. Secondary for two weeks. Bottle and age for 30 days.
