American Pale Ale

Description:

A nice light, easy drinking summer Pale Ale. I didn't take SG readings so you may want to verify for your own records.

Ingredients:

  • 10lb 2 Row Pale Malt
  • 1 lb 40L
  • 1 lb 10L
  • .5 lb Dextrine
  • 1 tsp Irish Moss
  • 2 oz Chinook
  • 1 oz Willamette
  • Wyeast 1098 (British Ale)

Primary Ferment: 7 days
Secondary Ferment: 7 days

Procedure:

Mash 60min @ 150 (4 Gallon)
Sparge 170 (3 Gallon)

Boil 60 min:

Chinook 1 oz @ 55
Willamette .5 oz @ 40
Willamette .5 oz @ 20
Chinook 1 oz @ 5
Irish Moss @ 5

Chill wort and adjust to 5 gallon volume if heavy evaporation has occurred.

Primary / Secondary / Keg and CO2 @ 14-16 Lbs.
