California Common Beer

Description:

Golden to Amber Color. Flavor is biscuity with nice tones of Caramel. Carbonate from 2.5 to 3.5 vols. Smooth and delicious. Nice sessionable brew.

Ingredients:

  • 9lbs Vienna Malt
  • 1lb Munich
  • .33lb Pale Chocolate
  • 1oz Northern Brewer @ 60min
  • .5oz Northern Brewer @ 30min
  • .5oz Northern Brewer @ 10min
  • Wyeast 1L starter of 2112

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 4 Days
Secondary Ferment: 7 Days

Final Gravity: 1.015

Mash 4 gallons in at 70C
Batch Sparge w/ 4 gallons at 80C
Cool to 18C
Pitch Starter
Bring to Fermentation and then place in basement for 4 days
Rack to secondary
After 7 more days Package Beer
