Mild

Description:

Lots of good hop flavor but not to bitter,darker amber color ,medium head retention,All around very tasty mild ale.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound briess wheat extract
  • 7 pounds briess munich malt extract
  • 1 pound dingemans caramunich malt (grain milled for steeping)
  • 1/2 once vanguard hops at 60 minutes
  • 1/2 ounce fuggle uk hops at 20 minutes
  • 1 1/2 ounce tettenag hops at 5 minutes
  • 1 pack of wyeast 1272 american ale 2.

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 7 days
Secondary Ferment: 3 days

Procedure:

Steep the gains until temp reaches 170 then remove , add the malt extract and bring to a boil , once boiling add the vanguard hops,then the fuggles at 20 minutes,then the tettenag at 5 minutes,OG and FG may vary by a few points.
