Cream Ale


Deep golden color. Subtle yet complex flavor from the Saaz start and the Amarillo grapefruity finish. Great on hot day and even with twist of lime.


  • 6.6 lbs Briess Pilsner Malt
  • 1 lb dry wheat malt extract
  • 1 lb amber malt
  • .50 oz Saaz at boil
  • .25 oz Saaz 20 minutes
  • .25 oz Amarillo 30 minutes
  • .25 oz Saaz 40 min
  • .25 oz Amarillo 40 min
  • .25 oz Amarillo 10 min
  • US .04 yeast (or Nottingiham if fermenting under 70 degrees)
  • 2 tsp Irish Moss
  • 5 gallons water

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 1 week
Secondary Ferment: 1 week.

Bring water to boil. Add malt and wheat. Bring to boil again. Add hops according to times given above. Boil one hour.
