Standard American Lager

Description:

This beer is definately one for the lovers of passionfruit / citrus type lagers.
A very crystal clear, cold conditioned lager that carries some wonderful flavours. The nelson sav hop emits an almost sav blanc wine effect.

Ingredients:

  • 4.5kg Premium / Pale Pilsener malt
  • 500g Wheat malt
  • 200g Carapils
  • Nelson Sauv - 20g-60min
  • - 15g - 30min
  • - 10g - 15min
  • 2x swiss lager yeast.

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 14 days
Secondary Ferment: 3.5 weeks Cold conditioning at 3deg.

Original Gravity: 1.060
Final Gravity: 1.010
Alcohol by Vol: 6.55%

Procedure:

mashes at 65deg for 90min
Boiled 60 min.
Koppafloc added 5 mins before flame out, plus yeast nutrient.
This beer was cold conditioned at 3deg for 3.5 weeks after primary fermentation was complete.
Primary approx 14 days at 12deg
