American Pale Ale

Description:

This is a very close clone to LCBA,
Easy drinking, very good session beer.
My house favourite.

Ingredients:

  • 3.5kg Premium or Pale pilsener malt
  • 1kg Vienna
  • 300g Carapils
  • 300g wheat malt
  • Cascade 20g - 60min
  • Saaz B 20g - 60min
  • Cascade 30g - 15min
  • Saaz B 30g -15min
  • Wyeast 1056 or Safale US-05.
  • 20L batch.

Primary Ferment: 14 days

Beer Profile

Original Gravity: 1.045
Final Gravity: 1.006
Alcohol by Vol: 5.1%
Recipe Type: all-grain
Yield: 5.00 US Gallons

Mashed at 65deg for 60min.
Boiled 60 mins.
Koppafloc added 5 min before flame out, with Yeast nutrient.
