Full of flavour and style. Big malty overtones.
20-23L batch.


  • 7kg Marris Otter malt
  • 2.5kg Munich I
  • 500g Pale Crystal
  • 500g Dark Crystal
  • 500g Caramunich I
  • 500g Smoked malt
  • 500g Vienna
  • 90g EK Goldings - 60mins
  • 30g Cascade - 15mins
  • yeast nutrient - 5 mins.
  • Wyeast 1728 (Make a big starter)

Primary Ferment: 18 days

Mashed at 65deg for 90 mins
Boiled 60 mins.
Koppafloc added 5min before flame out.
This beer loves long periods of rest, drink around 4 months+
Also note that i achieved 9.4% alc , though i under-sparged slightly.. expect to get around 10%+
Ferment at18-20deg.
