American IPA


Bold and hoppy about 7 or 8 per cent alcohol content. Definately for mad dog brewers.


  • 8lbs dry malt extract lite
  • .5lb crystal malt
  • 4oz choc malt
  • 3 oz galena hops
  • 2 oz cascade hops
  • 1oz saaz hops

Primary Ferment: 10days
Secondary Ferment: 7days

Grains in grain bag for 30 minutes until water boils. Remove grains add malt extract and galena hops for 90 minute boil. Add 1 oz cascade hops for last 15 minutes. Add 1 oz cascade hops for last 2 minutes of boil. Ferment for 10 days transfer to secondary fermentation carboy and add 1 oz saaz hops bottle after 1 week. Allow to age in bottles for 4 weeks.
