American Barleywine


very strong beer. Exceeds 10 per cent alc. Best to store bottled for 3 to 6 months before serving. Beware of blow outs when fermenting during primary fermentation. Beer is very smooth after 6 months . Currently making again.


  • 6.6lbs lite liquid extract
  • 4lbs lite dry malt
  • 2lbs honey
  • 1lb crystal malt
  • 3oz galena hops
  • 2oz nugget hops
  • 3787 belgian trappist ale yeast
