Standard American Lager

Description:

this beer has a low malt profile. brings out the best qualities hops have to offer. I would try cascade hops because i grow them. chose saaz hops for their reputation. Beer gets better with time after bottling.

Ingredients:

  • 3lbs extra lite dry malt extract
  • 3 lbs honey
  • 2oz saaz hops
  • 2007 pilsener yeast

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: ten days at 55 degrees
Secondary Ferment: 21 days at 48 degrees

Procedure:

boil ingredients for 1hr save half oz of hops for last 5 minutes of boil
