Common Cider


Dry, with hints of nutmeg and cinnamon.
I like to make smaller batches, enabling me to experiment with ingredients.
I just made a two litre batch the first time, so I'm going to list the ingredients as if it were a two litre batch.


  • 2.5 Litres of apple juice
  • 1 tbsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1 cup White Honey.
  • 1 cup Brown sugar

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 2-3 (Use an airlock)
Secondary Ferment: Just one

Dissolve all of the ingredients, stir, and strain the cinnamon and nutmeg out with a small hand strainer and a funnel going directly into your growler, or bottle in which you are fermenting the cider.
